Needs an iPad optimized version, but otherwise great!

I bought this today, got home, and had it in a ham in less than five minutes. The WiFi setup is extremely easy — if you download the app first, it will walk you through the setup step by step, and will take less than a minute.

The timers are OK to set with a set time duration, but my favorite feature is the custom alerts by temp or time that you can either set “After Start” or “Before Finish”. They pairs very well with the smart timer.

My primary complaint is the lack of an iPad optimized version of the app. Sure, the iPhone optimized app works fine, but doesn’t have the graphics it should have and cannot rotate. An iPad version would also allow even more added functionality.

A great app and kitchen tool overall, and I hope it continues to improve.
